What a wonderful Easter weekend. The weather reminded me more of the first weeks of Summer than Spring. Our festivities started on Good Friday. We headed over to Uncle Todd’s fire hall for a fish fry. At first we hung out at Kristin and Todd’s house. Ellia didn’t know what to make of Hector (the Great Dane). She really liked going in his cage and Magerie got a little upset Ellia was in there. We walked to the fish fry and Magerie and Ellia (and all the rest of us) really enjoyed the fish. Afterwards, we walked around Kristin and Todd’s neighborhood enjoying the weather and then headed to Dairy Queen. Ellia got her first baby cone (which was rather large) but she did the best she could.
Saturday Ellia dyed eggs with Daddy for the first time. She would drop the eggs in the container and when Daddy would pull them out she would say ooh. I couple of times she would snatch one up and bang the wall with it. Mama used those ones to make deviled eggs!
Then we headed over to Mimi and Papa Ollis house for dinner. Aunt Jen, Alex and Samantha were there too and the kids did their first Easter Egg hunt. The girls (not planned) wore matching dresses and looked too cute playing together. Alex and Kevin worked on building Lego’s as the girls played with some of Jen and my old toys. That was surreal… seeing my daughter play with my childhood toys.
Sunday was a day to celebrate the Risen Lord. A glorious morning was spent at church. Ellia made it even more enjoyable watching her dance and clap to the worship music. I’ve included a video for you to enjoy a little of what we got to witness. Sorry it isn’t a very good one. It was really dark in the room.
We met Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ron after service and took a few pictures in the grass out in front of the church. I don’t know why I didn’t get a picture of Kevin, myself and Ellia!
Later on we went to Nana and Papa Angelo’s house for dinner. We all had lamb for the first time and it was delicious. Ellia was spoiled with gifts and she also enjoyed playing with bubbles with Papa.

We surprised Nana and Papa with the Easter pictures Krsitin and I had taken of Ellia and Magerie. I have been waiting to post these because we didn’t want Nana to see them before Easter. Ellia unfortunately did not like the camera this time. We only got a couple good shots of her and Magerie. I have some great shots of her crying which I have to admit have become my treasured favorites. I hope you like the changes to the blog!
