What a big girl!

Ellia’s 9 month check up was a success. She is 18 lbs, 11oz and 28 ¾” long. She is in the 50% for weight and 80% for height. Everything else checks out healthy. She doesn’t get any more shots until she is 1 year old. However they did prick her toe to test for iron deficiency… all is good but she didn’t enjoy that very much. She also did not like the doctor looking into her mouth or ears. I will have to get her a doctor's kit to play with at home so she isn’t scared next time.
Within the past week she has started to point or we like to say that she is telling people she is going to be 1 soon. She has also grasped the concept of the word NO! When you tell her no she shakes her head back and forth and she also will tell you NO by shaking her head or pushing you away when she doesn’t want something. Man do they learn that fast!!!! She scoots around on the floor. She doesn’t crawl but likes to just move her little legs and scoots her bum to get places. I think she learned this from Cousin Alex. He did the same thing instead of crawling. Now I have to baby proof the house because of course she goes after everything she isn’t supposed to. Vader doesn’t know what to do now. He will be sleeping on the floor only to be startled awake by little hands slapping him or pulling on his ears. This past weekend Daddy made meatballs and Ellia loved them.

We went to Buca Di Beppo for Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ron’s birthdays Saturday night. Ellia enjoyed some chicken, meatball, bread, noodles and cake! Cousin Maggier was there too and enjoyed looking around at all the lights.

Sunday we headed to the Greek Food festival for Uncle Nick and Aunt Angela. Angela looks great with her belly. Ellia really liked listening to the Greek music and watching the Grecian Odyssey dancers. This week Kevin and I are taking off Friday to have a family day. Not sure what the plans are but I will tell ya all about it next week.

Summer Fun!

Last week was so much fun! Thursday night we visited with Aunt Kristin, Uncle Todd, cousin Magerie and our furry cousins Dozer and Hector. Magerie is now 3 months old and oh so cute! Ellia loved looking at Hector.. he is a great dane. She also got a little jealous when Daddy was holding Magerie. I can’t wait till the girls can interact more with each other. Christmas is going to be so much fun.

Sunday we had Papa Angelo’s work picnic at Kennywood. This was Ellia’s first time there. It was such a hot day but we had a really good time. It is so weird to have my daughter at Kennywood when I have vivid memories of going there as a little girl. Even for Grandma and Grandpa Angelo, they remember going there when they were little too. Hope Kennywood is still around when I have grand kids!

Ellia road the Merry-Go-Round with mommy and daddy. Kevin also took her to stand near the Pittsburgh Plunge to get cool. Uncle Korey won her a stuffed animal too. She got to try corn dog and potato patch fires.

Looks like she just got off of a rollercoaster

Staying cool!

Too cool off, Ellia also got to stand under the misters where they sell drinks. She had no reaction. Kevin loved taking her through the mist though.

We went to the fish pond and she won a little stuffed football. This was my favorite game to go to at Kennywood. I had to go every time we went so of course Ellia had to go too!!!
She is too young still to ride anything in kiddy land.

Her favorite part was the parade. She was clapping her hands, dancing and waving to everyone. We really enjoyed being outside all day and walking around.

Daddy and Ellia got a picture in front of the Turnpike ride. It was the last day for this ride to be open. They are tearing it down and putting a rollercoaster in its place. We were going to try and ride it but the line was too long so we opted for the picture.

We actually go to the doctors today (Aug 19). So I will post her measurements later on. Just wanted to share pictures from Kennywood with you.
