Fun, Fun, and more Fun

Memorial Day weekend was so much fun. I took off Friday prior to and Ellia and I had lunch with Grandma Ollis and Aunt Jen.. then it was off to get our shop on. We bought Ellia a pool and some bathing suites. We tested out her reaction on Memorial Day. She loves the water so it was no surprise that she liked hanging out in her new pool.
Friday night was an 80's themed 30th birthday party for our friend Julie. We all dressed up and it made us feel like we were in high shcool or even younger..(ignoring the fact that I have Ellia)
Saturday we attended my friend Maggie's wedding. A "date night" for mommy and daddy. Absolutely beautiful and some of the best food we ever had at a wedding.
Sunday was church and dinner at the Angelo's with oh so pregnant and one day over due Aunt Kristin. And Monday was pool day..
Then Tuesday we got the call we were anxiously waiting for. Kristin was in labor and it had been going on all day. She went to the hospital around 4. We decided to meet them there and sat in the waiting room from 8 to 12am! We decided to leave thinking the baby wouldn't come until much later (however when we left I said the baby would come). And SHE did.. 26 minutes after we left Magerie Delilah Foulk was born May 27 @12:26 am. She is 6 lbs 15 oz's & is 19.5 inches long.

We are so happy for Kristin and Todd and excited that Ellia has another little girl cousin to have as a friend for life!

Ellia will soon be 7 months old. This month she seems to have become even more independent. She now sits up on her own (we still keep a pillow behind her just in case) and she "dances" to music now.. She will sit and bob back and forth or when you hold her while she stands she bounces. We love the interaction with her.. Such a little person.. amazing is all I can say.

This weekend is Uncle Korey's birthday.. we will keep you posted with the continued fun.. until then, continued blessings to all.

Just over 6 months!

Ellia is over 6 months now! I can't believe it! She had her check up on the 12th of May and weighs 16lbs, 26 inches long. She seems to grow and change every week. So much has been going on since my last blog. This may be a long post with many pictures!
Ellia's cousin Samantha had her baptism, then there was Daddy's 31st birthday, then my first mother's day (Kevin got me 2 dozen white roses and made dinner, also got a card from my little girl - I still can't believe I am a mom). Ellias LOVES daycare too.. The women there say she is always so happy. I really feel blessed to have these women taking care of her for me. For mother's day they had muffins for Mom..we got muffins, fruit, a flower in a vase and a card from our children. It made my Monday.

My little shopper and model!

This was at Samantha's Baptism

Ellia also loves bath time! She would turn into a fish if we let her stay in the tub as long as she wanted. She really likes the water when we spay her off. Bo is very curious and watches her the whole time. The blow up duck tub is the best invention yet!

We started some solid food with Ellia. She doesn't like the veggies that much but is all about fruit. She is getting better every day. At first is was really difficult to handle the concept of a spoon. Daddy even let her try some ice cream.. I think that was her favorite!
The weeks just fly by and we continue to love every minute. I am sure I missed a whole bunch of stuff to share but just looking at the pictures shows how much fun we have with our little one. We are currently waiting for cousin Foulk to be born. Kristin was due on the 23rd and so far no baby. Hopefully this coming weekend.
We got some bathing suits and a pool to try out since the weather has been so nice. I will update with pictures during our first swim! Until next time, God bless.

24 weeks and counting

So much has been going on. This past beautiful weathered weekend we had Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ron's wedding. Ellia's first wedding that she was a flower girl in!!! She gave us a scare though because she woke up that morning with a fever of 101.5. However we gave her Tylenol and kept her head cool with a wash cloth. She did really well for not feeling good.
She really enjoyed watching everyone dance and the lights on the dance floor. All and all a beautiful day and the bride and groom never looked happier.

Ellia has almost been at daycare for a full month now. All the ladies say she is doing so well and has transitioned so quickly. Mommy is still adjusting to leaving her but work keeps me busy so the days go by fast. I really enjoy picking her up from daycare and listening to her talk in the back seat during our car ride home as if she is telling me all about her day.

She loves to be outside! We enjoy night time walks with her while the weather holds up. She also enjoys listening to people read to her. Daddy often reads her books and she will intently look at him then at the book and then at him.

This week I am trying to consistently give her cereal to keep her tummy full and keep me getting more and more sleep! She will go for her 6 month check up on May 12th so we will have many new updates. This weekend will be cousin Samantha's baptism. Always something fun going on with one of the families.
And great news!!! My dad is finally coming home! He is doing so well, eating on his own and getting around again. Praise God.. thanks to all your prayers.
