24 weeks and counting

So much has been going on. This past beautiful weathered weekend we had Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ron's wedding. Ellia's first wedding that she was a flower girl in!!! She gave us a scare though because she woke up that morning with a fever of 101.5. However we gave her Tylenol and kept her head cool with a wash cloth. She did really well for not feeling good.
She really enjoyed watching everyone dance and the lights on the dance floor. All and all a beautiful day and the bride and groom never looked happier.

Ellia has almost been at daycare for a full month now. All the ladies say she is doing so well and has transitioned so quickly. Mommy is still adjusting to leaving her but work keeps me busy so the days go by fast. I really enjoy picking her up from daycare and listening to her talk in the back seat during our car ride home as if she is telling me all about her day.

She loves to be outside! We enjoy night time walks with her while the weather holds up. She also enjoys listening to people read to her. Daddy often reads her books and she will intently look at him then at the book and then at him.

This week I am trying to consistently give her cereal to keep her tummy full and keep me getting more and more sleep! She will go for her 6 month check up on May 12th so we will have many new updates. This weekend will be cousin Samantha's baptism. Always something fun going on with one of the families.
And great news!!! My dad is finally coming home! He is doing so well, eating on his own and getting around again. Praise God.. thanks to all your prayers.

Going on 23 Weeks

It has been awhile since I've update this blog. Work has made my time limited and in the evenings I am usually tied up with even more "work". Ellia is doing great at daycare. She loves the kids and doesn't even cry anymore when I drop her off. Can't say the same for mommy though. This has been really hard on me. I miss her so much during the day and continue to feel like I am missing out on her growing. But I remind myself that I am truly blessed to have a job and a family and I'm working to provide her with even more blessings. They do art projects at daycare and have her involved in many fun baby activities. I get daily report cards on her schedule and her Easter art work is hanging on my wall. I am sure daycare is and will continue to help her develop her motor skills even more. A couple of Sunday's ago she started saying dada! It makes Kevin smile every time he hears her shout it out. She also loves to scream.. just to make herself be heard.

Easter was a great blessing. My dad was able to join us on Saturday and Sunday. He is doing so well. I praise the Lord for his increasing progress. I took off on Good Friday since daycare was closed. We made cookies and eggs and mommy took some fun pictures of Ellia.

Saturday was spent with my side of the family with my dad. We went to my parents and enjoyed time with cousin Alex and baby Samantha. Sunday we dressed Ellia up for church. She loves church and focuses in on the big choir. However when it's time to pay attention and be quiet.. that is when Ellia wants to "sing".. so mommy and Ellia spent most of the service out with other parents in the lobby. Sunday dinner was spent with the Angelo's and mommy again dressed her up as a little cotton tail.
Last night we tried cereal for the first time. She made some funny faces but ate it all. And then mommy got to have a good night sleep. well as good as I could with waking up and checking on her to make sure everything was okay. Until next time...
